Assumption English Primary School was started in the year 1971 with the permission from the Department of Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka. This Institution comes under the Administrative jurisdiction of the Archdiocesan Board of Education. This School has been permanently recognized by the Government of Karnataka. Late Rev. Fr. Jerome Lobo was instrumental in starting the Assumption English Medium School. Thereafter the succeeding Managers, Late Most Rev. Dr. Francis Michaelappa, Late Rev. Fr. K.C. Abraham, Late Rev. Fr. Patrick Digby, greatly improved the School in all spheres including putting up permanent structures. Late Rev. Fr. Patrick Digby, on account of public pressure, started the eighth standard in 1993 and the Government of Karnataka granted permission under the management of Rev. Fr. T.S. Amruthraj, Rev. Fr. I. Chinnappa and Rev. Fr. Lawrence Noronha, Rev. Fr. Michael. In 2009 Msgr. S. Jayanathan was appointed as the Manager and Correspondent of the school. He established a fully equipped Computer Lab. We have a team of three well trained faculty members to engage classes from Std I to Std X.

In 2011, Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Menezes took charge of the school as Manager and Correspondent. He has introduced Educomp Smart Classes from 2012 – 13 for all the standards. It is indeed a great milestone in the History of the school. With implementation of this programme Assumptionites shall and will be scaling greater heights.

A scholarship fund has been instituted with donations received from some parents and philanthropists. Their wish was to sponsor and award the meritorious students. It has been installed in the name of Old Students Association. The scholarship amount at present is Rs. 1,56,000/- The interest obtained from this investment is distributed to the meritorious and deserving students, every year at the prize distribution ceremony organized by the school. With co-operation of parents, qualified and committed staff members we strive to ensure quality Education.

Rev. Fr. Prem Arockianathan took charge of the school as Manager and Correspondent in 2017.
